Interesting list, though "Blue Flowers" is the best by far imo. Here's mine, I couldn't pick a favorite so I chose two:

"Role Model"—Eminem
"La Danse De Mardi Gras"—Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys
"Bricktop"—Django Reinhardt
"In Battle There Is No Law"—Bolt Thrower
"DoG"—ohGr
"Scuba"—Bonobo
"Guide Down Denied"—Grandaddy
"For A Moment"—Jesus Jones
"Soul Shake Down Party"—Bob Marley
"Captain Caveman"—Lightning Bolt

Interesting list I didn't know many of them but I do love the Incredible Bongo Band's version of Apache. You could almost hear it playing over a scene in an early 70s blaxsploitation movie.

Dogs Die in Hot Cars - Pastimes and Lifestyles
Tom Waits - Highway Cafe
David Bowie - Lady Stardust
Antony and the Johnsons - Cripple and the Starfish
The Smiths - Shakespeare's sister
Frank Black - Subbacultcha
Donovan - Season of the witch
Dead Kennedys - Funland at the Beach
Mott The Hoople - Sweet Jane
Solomon Burke - Stepchild

I feel like I should really listen to Ornette Coleman, especially considering I'm trying to beef up the jazz in my library. I'm kind of ambivalent about GY!BE... Maybe I just haven't given them enough of my time, but I find it really draining to listen to their music.

Olivier Messiaen - Préludes pour piano: I. La colombe ("The Dove")
Kuedo - Flight Path
Shining - You Can Try the Best You Can
Iron & Wine - The Rooster Moans
Metric - Front Row
Satoko Fujii & Tatsuya Yoshida - Ayentanams
Medeski, Martin and Wood - Take Me Nowhere
F.S. Blumm & Nils Frahm - Licht-Teil
Animal Collective - College
Animal Collective - Peacebone
Cold War Kids - St. John
