Nice variety. Haven't heard that particular Gong song though, but their early albums rule so:

---

Ween - Stacey
Caribou - Sundialing
Yo La Tengo - Little Honda
Ergo Sum - All's so comic
Modest Mouse - Spitting venom
Deep Purple - Highway star
King Crimson - Fallen angel
Beatles - Slow down
East of Eden - Have to whack it up
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - The three fates

Love all of it, aside from Ergo Sum and East of Eden who I have not heard.

1. Jethro Tull - Hymn 43
2. Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body
3. Matt Costa - Wash Away
4. Tom Waits - Union Square
5. Joy Division - Heart and Soul
6. Sufjan Stevens - Alanson, Crooked River
7. Okkervil River - Song of Our So-Called Friend
8. Green Day - Geek Stink Breath
9. The Who - Magic Bus (Live @ Leeds)
10. Rage Against the Machine - Mic Check

I never officially won my "most mainstream" award :-(

6.Crass-Women

I smell punk here. Not my cup of coffee, so I have to refrain from judging this. Stone Roses gets to pass though.

---

Phoenix - Lisztomania
Doors - L.A. woman
Love Sculpture - You can't catch me
Asia - Eye to eye
Mew - The seething rain weeps for you
Giles, Giles & Fripp - Make it today
Ween - Take me away
Callisto - Rule the blood
M83 - Farewell/goodbye
Zazu - Midnight train

M83 over Doors? Objectievly no, but I know my Doors all too well to be overwhelmed at the moment. And besides "Farewell/goodbye" is too majestic to be bypassed.
