i honestly feel that it is horrible that i have only heard the Pixies and Mineral on that list

I haven't heard anything from that list but there's a few bands i've been meaning to check out like Midlake and Broken Social Scene.

i've not heard The Acorn, Xasthur, or Lovesliescrushing....i enjoy everything else except Pantera....just could never get the appeal of them

I've never heard that Matthew Sweet song, but I'd be interesting in checking out some of his stuff. I love The Thorns (the band he was in with Pete Droge and Shawn Mullins). But his was the only name I recognized from your list, which makes me a bit sad (and embarrassed).

I know all of those artists, but I don't listen to any of them. I do like that Rolling Stones song though.
