Here's mine: 1) Live - The Dolphin's Cry 2) Pure Reason Revolution - Goshen's Remains 3) Flobots - Rise 4) Transglobal Underground - Jatayu 5) No Doubt - Don't Speak 6) Muse - Unintended 7) Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lodi 8) Incubus - A Certain Shade of Green 9) Queen - Pain is So Close to Pleasure 10) The Smalls - Domination |
Ah nonsubmissivewife snuck in after I'd written my comments for Burning Down's list! :bringit: Alright so about your list: I'm sorry to say I hate Live, I did not like Pure Reason Revolution when I listened to their album The Dark Third, I don't like Flobots from what I've heard, I've never heard Transglobal Underground and couldn't tell much from the sample of that song (leaning towards good rather than bad), I don't like No Doubt and that song makes me want to break things, I used to listen to Muse but listening to a sample of thing song makes me glad I stopped, great song by Creedence Clearwater Revival even though I don't listen to them I know they're good, great Incubus song from their best album, respect for Queen but I don't know that song, and I don't know The Smalls, 30-second clip reveals radio-friendly post-grunge/alternative with some Tool influence in the vocals & music and while I'm a big fan of Tool I tend to stay away from the bands they have influenced.
Burning Airlines - Wheaton Calling Alias & Tarsier - Ligaya Hagfish - Moda AmmonContact - Beautiful Flowers (Feat. Prince Po, Yusef Lateef & Dwight Trible) Unwound - Summer Freeze Tom Burbank - Gnats The Dismemberment Plan - Pay for the Piano Tim Koch - Attery Bop Nine Inch Nails - 19 Ghosts III Queens of the Stone Age - Avon Tough call between Burning Airlines, QotSA, and Hagfish (brings back memories). |
I enjoy Queens Of The Stone age, Josh Homme is quite a character and he has great music to back up his attitude. NIN are all right. Never listened to the rest of it.
Propagandhi "Dear Coach's Corner" Fleet Foxes "Your Protector" Stretch Arm Strong "When All Else Fails" The Bloody Hollies "Mona" Fugazi "Margin Walker" Descendents "Dry Spell" Comeback Kid "Losing Patience" Coheed & Cambria "Feathers" Rush "The Twilight Zone" L'Antietam "Dear Good Man" my mp3 player, so not a lot of variety |
I haven't heard Stretch Arm Strong, The Bloody Hollies or L'Antietam but I enjoy all the rest. Highlight for me is Fugazi.
Fugazi - Walken's Syndrome Tokyo Police Club - Box The Moldy Peaches - Lucky Number Nine Steel Pole Bathtub - Sister Ladyhawk - S.T.H.D. Fugazi - Facet Squared Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Helen Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Tick Big Business - Just as the Day was Dawning Aphex Twin - jynweythek ylow |

EDIT: I posted at the same time as somebody else Quote:
--- 1. Naive - Neuropa 2. Torture - Psychedelic Furs 3. Blind - Ambulance 4. Here Come THe Warm Jets - Brian Eno 5. Move - Moby 6. Nowhere Man - The Beatles 7. Fingers - Jack Ruby Presents 8. If I Could Change Your Mind - Alan Parsons Project 9. Contradictorio - Enrique Bunbury 10. Half Forgotten Thing - Room |
I think with Fugazi their material is consistent enough (while not really repetitive) that you can start with any album. Perhaps start at the beginning with 13 Songs. My favorite albums are probably Repeater, The Argument and Red Medicine. But again, you can't really go wrong with anything.
Let me know if you want me to upload you an album. |
