I shall comment on both...squonk Cat Power and Red House Painters are very cool, I'm sad to say I don't know the rest too well. GreenMeany nothing really catches my fancy, I'd call it pretty boring

Charlemagne - That's probably my absolute favorite Defiance, Ohio track, and I also enjoy the tracks from The War On Drugs and The Arctic Monkeys.

Charlemagne, I think if you like RHP and Cat Power you would love Mojave 3, I really recommend them, they are a little like Slowdive too, very ambient...

From your list, I only know one name and that is The Arctic Monkeys, they are from Sheffield over here, I don't care for them much though...
