Sorry no one I've listened to. Forgive my ignorance.

Regina Spektor - Us
Jimmy Cliff - Vietnam
Jimi Hendrix - Like A Rolling Stone
The Kinks - Johnny Thunder
Bill Withers - Kissing My Love
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Tupelo
Outkast - B.O.B.
Green Day - All The Time
Band Of Horses - Ode to LRC
Sam Cooke - Feel It

Some good songs but I'll go with Band of Horses since it came out in the past 5 years.

Melvins - Goose Freight Train
Sigur Rós - Untitled 1 (Vaka)
The Pettit Project - Time Apart
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - A Teenager in Love
Young Widows - Formererer
Sublime - Krs-One (Live)

Sigur Ros are fantastic James. Although Jonsi's album appealed more to me than anything they'd done.

Anyway, from your list, Low are amazing. The Mars Volta and Blonde Redhead are both brilliant too.

Funeral For A Friend - Bullet Theory
Pixies - I'm Amazed
The Flaming Lips - It's Summertime
Hole - Reasons To Be Beautiful
Sonic Youth - Antenna
Guided By Voices - Buzzards And Dreadful Crows
Bon Iver - Woods
Treepeople - (I'm Gonna) Miss You (When You're Dead)
Interpol - The New
Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing
