DeepDishBedPan's list: Not much in the way of things I like there...I like Rush and that's a decent song by them, definitely not their best though. I don't like U2, don't like Marillion from what I've heard. John Mellencamp is meh, and I haven't heard much if any Decembrists, Elbow, or My Morning Jacket. The others I don't know.

Sorry man I actually don't know much of that at all except Queen (obviously) and they are great! I also know the Silver Jews and what I heard of them so far I have liked.

That MSI cover is kind of lame. Beatles, Bob Marley, and The Dillinger Escape Plan are good. Highlight for me is Broken Social Scene. The rest I haven't heard.
