I dont really know if you are kidding or not but if you are not then I completely agree. Thats why live concerts are so wonderful. Material is often unrehearsed and improvised making it all the more special. Im not just talking a solo or two, but improvised on the spot rhythms harmonies and melodies.
Lately I have been into lots of bluegrass and folk which is wonderful because so many of the classics were never written down. They were passed generation to generation gaining new twists each time they were played. Music should be like the game of telephone, changing slightly after it passes through each participant.
