I always loved that abstract beginning to the Stone Roses' "I Wanna Be Adored"

Check it:

Loud love also has the really awesome intro where it sounds like one thousand chris cornells are screaming at you.
....get on the snake has a really good intro too....I'm not even a big soundgarden fan but they're occasionally awesome.

...also when james brown played live and he'd yell please, please, please, in short yelps.

Just off the top of my head, the first that comes to mind is Soul Intro - The Chicken by Jaco Pastorius off of his live album "The Birthday Concert". It has this amazing horn based intro. This version is slightly different to the album, but still pretty amazing.

There are few things I love more then a nice juicy horn section.

It's cliche, but the intro to Pink Floyd's "Time" always sends chills down my back.

I LOVE the beginning of "I've just seen a face" of the Beatles, I think the song would be rubbish without it.

from Zodiac on on Imperial Drag's self-titled:

"This isn't a discotheque darling; this is the theatre of the stars!"

the sample at the beginning of the track Spider is good too:

"You're rushing into the music. In fact, you should tend to lean back a little.
They call it 'laid back' - it's a sordid term but that's how it's used."

damn i love that album.
