I think that's the case with anyone that hasn't taken the time to get into or explore a certain genre. Until they're ready and interested, it can all sound the same.

lol I was taking it to the extreme (and taking the piss) when I said it all sounds the same :p:

All I meant was that I was at the point where the majority of it is so uninteresting to me that it's all same-same.

@ Sidewinder, I have listened to a whole lot of prog. I don't dislike it because its prog, and I like some of it. It just isn't for me.

I used to be interested. But really, most of it is boring pap to me.

Though I am extremely worried about the 'Cult Of Prog' that MB is currently under the spell of :p:

Gong were one of the most original prog bands however, they really didn't copy anybody.
