Worst album you ever bought/dl'ed

Hey again.. What is the worst album you have bought or downloaded ever?

OOS 06-13-2009 02:34 PM

Three Day Grace - One X

zeppy111 06-13-2009 02:55 PM

Radiohead - Com Lag

It just didn't go down well!

Antonio 06-13-2009 03:05 PM

hmmm......the only album i don't like that's in my posession is Arise from Sepultura. the first few songs are good, but then it went downhill for me. oh and Aerosmith's Get A Grip. once again, a good number of songs, but a lot of crap too

gunnels 06-13-2009 03:05 PM

In the Aeroplane over the Sea- Neutral Milk Hotel
I can appreciate artistic merit of it, but when it comes to the music itself...

I usually don't download or buy something unless I know I'll like it, but I got some Aiden album a little while ago and... Ugh...

I knew Aiden would be my least favorite band just from hearing a few songs.
But YOU actually got and ENTIRE ALBUM. You have my sympathy.

someonecompletelyrandom 06-13-2009 03:18 PM

I didn't even try to finish it.. I got about 3 songs in and DONE!

Dream Theater - Images and Words

I know now that I'm not a fan of DT, but I thought this was usually considered one of their best. For whatever reason, I absolutely can't stand it.

I like Rahzel, but that album is embarrassing to listen to.

yeah, and that's why you don't buy albums from people who were on American Idol

case in point:

William Hung seems like a decent enough person though.
Oh, and have you guys heard that the runner up of this season American Idol is supposed to be touring with Queen?

What's up with queen and flamboyant men?

gunnels 06-13-2009 05:20 PM

Overblown, bombastic, flamboyant music needs overblown, bombastic, flamboyant men.
Queen's the only band I can think of that pulls all of these off and still manages to keep some artistic value.

terrible although Crack The Syke is bloody great.

LoathsomePete 06-13-2009 05:51 PM

If you listen closely you can hear Antonio's heart break into bits :P

Bought this from a used CD store and popped it into my CD player for the walk home. About half way I turned around and went back to the store and sold it back to them for $2.50 and used that to buy a McFlurry from the local McDonalds.

seriously, there is no reason to ever listen to post-1978 Stones. let alone actually pay money for it.

Farfisa 06-13-2009 07:31 PM

The Jesus Lizard "Blue"

Pure **** is what it is... some of the tracks have cool names like "Horse Doctor Man" but other then that it's a complete borefest. I was severly dissapointed when I listened to it for the first time. I mean c'mon I was expecting some abrasive noise-rock that would make my ears bleed in a good way (as you would any JL album).

Really? I'm not much into metal, but I thought it was pretty good, though I enjoyed Leviathan more.

I also am surprised you disliked this so much, yet liked Crack The Skye. They are different, for sure, but still. I dig Leviathan most, and Remission is pretty badass as well.

So many people say this and I don't know what to say...A couple of mates who are into Metal bought the album at the same time as it was on special and they both hated it too. Crack The Skye has a prog quality that I like. Leviathan is always recommended to me too. i guess I should give it a listen.

tbh, if you don't like BM but like Crack the Skye, you'll probably hate Leviathan. just saying

The Velvet Underground's "Squeeze" was so awful that Lou and friends disowned it. I only bought it as a collectors item.
