If Radiohead counts, I guess Radiohead, though aren't they too successful to be hipster? Also Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear, I suppose. To be honest most of my music taste is fairly mainstream (Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age).

I love a ton of the bands mentioned on here.
I didn't see Guided by Voices mentioned, though Hipsters probably don't still listen to them. The only reason I'm adding to this, though, is to thank you guys. I even signed up to do so. I'm working on a web comic that I'm hoping to debut soon and I needed as many hipster bands as I could think of. When searching google, I was brought to this post and it was incredibly helpful. Thanks again. |
