Oh. Cool.
James, I didn't know you liked Le Tigre. My opinion of you is more positive then it was a few minutes ago.

I pretended to like Greenday when I was younger because I didn't like music that much at the time. When people would ask me what my favorite band was I would just say Greenday... Can't stand their music now. Sorry, I just think combining pop with punk is a crime against nature. Next thing you know there'll be "pop metal."

Why is it such a crime? Punk and "pop" aren't really that dissimilar.

I just don't see it as a good combination. Maybe for others who want something a bit more accessible in the realm of punk rock, but the concept of having both pop and punk being together in one genre doesn't really appeal to me. I generally look at pop as having a more cheerful sound, while I look at punk as being more angry.

Of course, I can't stand pop music. So, I am guilty of being a bit biased.

I disagree Conan, they're not all that similar at all

But I don't think it's a"crime against nature" to combine pop with punk. I don't particularly like pop-punk (which I consider to be more of the Ramones/Buzz****s/Exploding Hearts kinda deal) but I'm not going to be so pretentious as to call it a crime against nature.

With respect to the entire Green Day argument, the only song I can stand is Basket Case. That's about it.

As for the members with the best, in my opinion, I've grown pretty fond of:

bob.
dankrsta
Canwllcorfe and
Charlemagne.

I can always get good recs from these guys
