You have not been done because you have very good taste but like bands that not many of heard of, so unsure how to make a critique.

Sidewinder: He should be as happy discussing his influences as the music he so commendably seeks these days. I feel that he is reticent to talk about the music he grew up with as snippets of his posts pertain to his like of those bands still and MB is not all about finding new music. It's still OK to talk about older music and I would welcome chats of this nature.

Only Janszoon and Urban seem to not be bothered that they grew up with/still like music that is not de riguer with a modern music forum and it's a shame that there isn't more of us.

Yeah, that or you guys are the only ones old enough to have music you grew up with already so out of style...

Style and trends are transient. Class is permanent. We probably hear more new music than many of you but it's not the hipster type so we carry on regardless

Haha, I wasn't trying to offend you guys or anything, you're awesome and I look up to you guys. It's just that it's a lot harder for us young people to feel nostalgic for music we listened to a few years ago.

No doubt you have waaay more musical knowledge than I, and also hear way more on a daily basis...

I can't but feel nostalgic to the 60s, it makes me sad that those days have passed. So does listening to The Kinks, though I don't know anything about England.

Anyway, you don't have to be old, to know old music. I wish I had any idea about 00s and 90s music, I just don't feel like listening to music I can find so easily.

Yeah, and quite the contrary. While all the others are worshiping at the altar of 80's pop and 90's rock we're rolling our eyes going "Fine, but you didn't have to live through it."
