Lightning Bolt are wonderful. Awesome riffs make really make them an accessible noise rock band and a great gateway into the genre. I could honestly sit and listen to either one of the Brians play their respective instruments by themselves and be happy with that but the fact that those two forces play together make them such an intense combo.
Mindflayer are also excellent. Their other projects including Wizardzz (electronic-y stuff with Brian Gibson on drums), and Black Pus (Brian Chippendale solo) and Netmen are also worth looking into. |
