So this german kid I sit next to in class was talking with me about how we hate bands who were good on CD but sucked live. He says: "Yeah I really liked Clap Your Hands and say Yeah but when I saw them they blew.
He comes to tell me he liked them because of the guys voice and im like "why don't you just listen to Talking Heads then?" "I don't know them" "**** man really, alright I'll make you a CD" So im calling on you Music Banter to help me educate this kid. Obviously the big 5 have to go on there Psycho Killer Burning Down the Houce Once in a Life time And She Was Take me to the River But I probably have room for 15 more tracks. Now I need your suggestions, I'd like to go half of the CD with just obviously great songs that hit you immediatly, and then the other have songs that don't get the credit they deserve but are still good. Disclaimer: I don't want songs that "take awhile to get into", he'll get there own his own if he likes the CD...thanks guys.

We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |
