Well I live and learn!
This from a favourite web site of mine (giving to much away as to the kind of lifestyle I used to lead...but what the fuck.)

Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club duo, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth were asked to produce the album, which was a bad move as they struggled to work with the now out-of-control Shaun. The band's drug abuse was phenomenal at this point and Factory ended up paying over a quarter of a million pounds to make the album. It's widely reported that the band stripped down the recording studio to pay for their new cocaine habit. They even sold their clothes when there was nothing left to steal. Shaun even blackmailed Tony Wilson for the safe return of the recordings. the album in effect bankrupted Factory.

Superb website-http://www.unitedmanchester.com/music/happymondays-biography.htm

No mention of the albums name though, so I think you have something there Urban. I remember this at the time but had no idea Talking Heads had any dealings with it.

Ahh , no no

I knew about that , thats what happened during the recording during the Mondays Yes Please album.

The album i`m talking about was a few years after that.It was the 3 members except David Byrne and Shaun Ryder was involved in some way.

Again, no idea this existed. For a split second I thought Andy Partridge read Alan Partridge

I've known about Talking Heads forever, but I just got The Name of this Band is Talking Heads and it blows me away.

The Book I Read is my favorite song. Ever. Air, Don't Worry About the Government, I'm Not In Love... so many great songs.

ive got just about all their albums (some of them are tapes) somewhere. my mom was into them for years and she got me listening to them. grade A. i have a friend who saw their singer perform a bunch of their old stuff.

....i only wish i could have been there.

Lolz. Talking Heads aren't very awesome I don't think. Their too experimental for my tastes, although I do have 3 songs i like by them. 1. psycho killer and 2. girlfriend is better. My final and favorite song by them though is called A Clean Break, wow that must be one of the best songs of all time, 'cept its rly hard to find on limewire.
