So Misfits, did you follow up any of the above recommendations?
All of which are spot on by the way.
Talking Heads are easily one of my favourite bands. 'Psycho Killer' being my favourite, the acoustic version from the live album, 'Stop Making Sense' is miles better than the studio release.
The album 'Blind' has some brilliant tunes with some superb guitar work from Johnny Marr (feat.)

Then your missing out on essential albums D.O.C. you must get the early ones. Judging by your tastes you'll probably like them more than the ones you have already.

Everyone should also check out Tom Tom Club. Its 2/3 of Talking heads (david byrne being the odd one out) they are one of my favorite bands. Definitely has more of a bouncy urban flavor than talking heads did. I'm sure everyone has heard their song Genius of Love. Its one of the most sampled songs ever.

^Heaven = top tune.
As well as the Tom Tom club, the keyboard player Jerry Harrison made a few solo albums .
The best IMO being 'Casual Gods'.
When Harrison was with the Talking Heads, he was persuaded not to use his keyboards to play a note at a particular frequency during a live concert, because it would cause the audience to simultaneously relax their bowels.
(and before anyone kicks off with me...no, I don't know the exact details nor do I remember where I got this story from).

Who, the Casual Gods?
If so please tell me more. I've lost touch with them. Are they still going?

No it was the other 3 minus David Byrne about 7 or 8 years ago I think.

I can`t remember if they just recorded one song with him or if it was a whole album.

They did release an album though. On allmusic.com it says....

Five years later, the original lineup minus Byrne reunited as the Heads for the album No Talking Just Head.
