My old roommate exclusively listened to lots of radio-friendly rap music and generic straight-edge hardcore music.
Even now I shudder in memory of our time together.

9. Anybody who gauges their taste in music based on how 'br00tal' it is a.k.a. Metal elitists You know what the number one beef I have with other music forums? It's this. A handful of guys there may run around with a good sense of humor and know what they're talking about, but for the rest of of them, they somehow managed to stave off a coma listening to incendiary, super-caustic heavy metal that sounds like it was produced in the depths of a trash can somewhere. This is coming from a guy who thinks Scum is tasteful and well-made. If you're going to judge music based on its ability to hemorrhage your inner ear, I really don't care where you came from or how many times your brother tried to feed you to your dog, you're still an idiot. I really don't care about the latest string your guitarist added to his instrument or vocals that sound like the singer is undergoing a tracheotomy. If your love for music stops where you can hear the difference between 'super blackened green death metal' and 'technical zoomacroom symphonic metal', then you're a tosser in my book. Cut your hair and learn why underground metal scenes remain underground. Because they're awful.

Haha, this whole entry was great. It's funny, on the flips side of this there's another group of music listeners out there who suck: people who only like music that is "soothing". You know who I mean, the kind of people who keep smooth jazz and easy listening stations on the air and who view music not as an art form but as some kind of relaxation device similar to a massage chair.
