i'm only referring to the last couple of years. "indie" has obviously become part of mainstream media and has gotten completely away from what it means. it is "cool." how else could "indie" bands be released on major labels, it makes NO sense.

WHO THE HELL CARES DUDE?

When someone describes a band as "indie" to me, I have a general idea of what the band is going to sound like. Therefore, it works. Quit crying about **** being mainstream and commercialized. If it works it workds.

We just told you its a sound. Its logical that any label, of any tax bracket, could release it.

And even the Major's Indie acts still appeal to me just as much as minor labels.

The Killers still put out great stuff. I think Coldplay's new album was great. I love the Stripes.

I don't see what the issue is. Do you listen to indie music?
