Everything after this is dreadful but this album suggested a vast amount of potential.

I'm a little bit surprised you don't like "Without You I'm Nothing"...it's not a horribly drastic change from this one. The s/t is what got them a ton of Smashing Pumpkins rip off criticisms.

I found Without You I'm Nothing very meh, and the following records were just regurgitations of this one.
