Come to think of it, I only really listen to music in the car. I do listen to it on the computer, but usually to play songs that I've just recently acquired.

Erm. Probably about 10-11 of my waking hours are spent with music playing.

Reminds of all the kids I see all the time walking around with their friends, with headphones on.
Drives me mad when people try to have a conversation with you while they have their headphones blasting. Also a few days ago my mother (to great inconvenience to herself) gave my friend a lift back to his house (cause he missed his bus) and he proceeded to lie out on the back seats while listening to his music, ignoring everything my mother was saying to him.

Matters if I work. I'd say probably somewhere between 50-90% of my awake time. Assuming I'm not watching a movie or something(unless the background music counts).

That reminds me of my best friend's fiancee. We'll be driving around, and another friend or I will bring a CD for my buddy of songs we're really into that all of us can listen to, often songs that his fiancee has even burned to disc.

She will, invariably, pop out her freaking mp3 player and put her headphones in. It pisses me off that I still feel obligated to make an effort to put music she'll enjoy on the CD as well, and she's so rude as to ignore us completely, regardless of what's on the CD.

Damn, for real? Does she put on her headphones when it's just the two of you in the car?

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Unfortunately yes, especially on long drives, which to me is the worst time to do it. The weirdest thing is that she can't seem to figure out why on earth I would think it's rude.

Put on headphones next time you have sex.
