Never heard them before. I should really listen to them before I go along with a couple of others on the bill.

Yeah there's always some cool stuff musicwise that happens here. I'm hoping to discover some cool new bands this year as the weather was horrible last year.

Alestorm belong in The Bad category, Pirate metal is nothing more than power metal with the fantasy setting changed to the Pirates of the Caribbean. If you're pissed by the time they hit the stage and you and The Cat feel like doing some belligerent I would love you long time if you could hurl something at their singer, preferably something sharp and stabby.

No doubt we will probably end up doing something completely stupid there. It's about time we both grew up really but then fuck that!

I have plans to go downtown tomorrow to check out what they have going on at Harbourfront if it doesn't rain and then I am going to see if I can find a schedule with the list of concerts.

Lots of free food as well <3

Went one day to the Pinkpop festival in Holland: Chris Cornell, The Killers, Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band a.o. Saw Brandon Flowers being all happy like a little school boy singing with the boss.

Going one day to North Sea Jazz in Holland: looking forward to Roy Haynes, Kyteman's Hiphop orchestra and have to figure out what to see for the rest.

After that it's off to Rock Werchter in Belgium. Very good line-up: The Killers, Kings of Leon, Nick Cave, Oasis, Eagles of Death Metal, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Metallica (again) to name a few.

Last one is Lowlands in Holland: Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Passion Pit, Prodigy, White Lies and...Faith No More (yeah!)

I just love those summer festivals. Or any music festival for that matter.

I desperately want to go to Lollapalooza this year... if only it came all the way to Aus.
