em..ok...i wasn't saying that you don't have the right to dislike coldplay, i'm fine with that, i'm just saying that i don't think anybody could say they were completely horrible, that's all....there's very few bands in music that i find copletely horrible, i don't even find iron maiden horrible, more like rediculous, and 80's music just doesn't do anything for me, especially 80's rock save for some pixies stuff....

I can't believe HIM is not on that list. I love the music, but wow, heartbreak every moment. o.o

Fair enough. i happen to think the 80s was pretty good, pixies, cramps, gang of four, wire, talking heads, gun club, the birthday party, echo anfd the bunnymem, the smiths etc, was pretty good you should explore those bands.

Any type of music, it doesnt matter....
Honestly, it's most depressing to me to hear a band play a ****ty song or seeing an artist that I once liked sell out and change their once unique style, ya hear?

Some of the bands up there are pretty cool/good, but I don't listen to any of them because I am depressed or wanna be depressed, ya hear?I listen to them because they have an energy that makes you feel alive!!!
Nirvana, A.I.C., Tool, Neil Young, etc...are all great bands/artists that do that, I.M.O.

I like to kick some ass and rock n roll, not get depressed and sell my soul!!!
Catch my drift?

Soundgarden are probably the most depressing I know. Listen to 4th of July.

I wouldn't say Coldplay are depressing-they don't write depressing songs, it's mainly Chris Martin's voice that makes them sound gloomy. I can't believe they are in second place in the poll. I would say Classical Composer's. I can never listen to them, they really put you down in the dumps.

Depressing, as in depressingly bad? Uh, I thought not. Joy Division is up there for me, as The Smiths, and maybe Radiohead, I don't find the others exceedingly depressing.
