The basis of this thread is simple.

1. You post a link to your Last FM page.

2. By posting that link what you are telling the forum is 'I am available for making you a compilation'.

3. When people have checked out your Last FM page they make a request to you for a 10 - 15 track compilation of any of the bands they have seen on your list that they like the look of

4. When you have made the compilation you then post in here for that person & anyone else who wants it.

5. When you have heard your compilation write a few words to say what you thought.

If you want to someone to make you up a compilation featuring a couple of songs each from a list of bands or whatever I don't see why not. although you'd have to ask them I guess.

Doesn't matter to me whether we stick to one band or have the option of requesting a few, just clarifying. ;) I'm fine with just one, it makes more sense if the point is to get a sense for an artist and possibly get into them.

as for making compilations of songs, how do i go about doing this? do i put the songs in a special type of file or can i just upload them as a group?

Create a separate folder then put all the songs you want to be on the compilation in said folder, zip it, then upload to a website. I recommend Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire great website, they let you upload as much as you want for free, but there's a 100 mb limit for free users. If you don't feel like splitting it into two separate files you can upload it to MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Zipping your upload means only one thing is uploaded and the person who downloads it doesn't have download each individual song and then create a folder, it's just easier for both parties.
