That's one talented dog. The picture looks pretty European to me, style wise, so maybe that's where the difference of opinion comes from. Makes me think of old 70's comics from France and Belgium.

What I don't like about the cover is more about layout than anything else.

I read it as "a dog's ****ty finger painting" and I like my version better.

I like imagining that cover as organized poop.

Those are a lot better than the first one, which was like drowning in curdled milk. And your opinion of art is as deserving of respect as your opinion of Marillion.

Actually, that's bollocks. You hate Marillion, so it doesn't matter what my opinion of them is. I hate Cryptopsy. But I would not denigrate your opinion of them. I know a hell of a lot more about Marillion than you do, or want to. So that sentence actually makes no sense.
Neither of you know anything about my appreciation of art. I'm not big into art, but Fitzpatrick is recognised as one of the most important artists working on Irish mythology, and his work is similar to the illuminations produced by monks back in the last millennium, so up yours. You might not like the cover, and that's your privilege, but you can't say it isn't well painted, because the respect Fitzpatrick has in the art community ****s all over your amateur opinion.
