The real deal?

Being a newbie in here, I would like to get to know some of you better :) I believe the introduction forum is a one time shot when you get first get here.

This looks to be one of the only forums in here that isn't genre specific, so here goes...

1. When is the last time you performed on stage in front of a live audience doing at least some of your own material?

2. How long have been a musician/singer/songwriter.

3. Are you in a band now? Name?

4. Anything else you would like to add?

1. Yesterday, at the Chenga 57 show.

2. Forever...

3. Yes. Sin if I Did'nt

4. Since when do WE have to tell the NEWBIES about us.

Cory, you gotta stop referring to other people as noobs when you've only been here for 4 months tops.
Your personal comfort level does not determine your status in the community's perspective.

I'm a noob and even I know that.

You are a newb, not a noob. It's a subtle but important difference ;)

About a year ago. I wish I could play more often, but my life gets in the way. I've lost a few gigs now. :(

I've dabbled in music since I was a kid, but I've been in bands since I was 17 or so I guess, so for 10 years now.

I'm in a few, have gigs coming up with a couple of them soon. Gladlaksene is our most successful and that doesn't mean much. We are very much liked by a loyal minority down south and all our concerts have been awesome!

Here's a picture, although this summer it will be four or five years old already .. Time flies!

As you can probably see, we're a folk act that romanticize and sometimes also parody the maritime culture of southern Norway. We play shanties and songs about ghost ships, fishing and so on .. I doubt it has much appeal to the average MBer. ;)
