Sixteen Tons by Merle Travis.
There are a lot of other versions (copies) out there. This song was sung to me by my father when I was a small kid. Dad's voice was closer to Cash, but a he sang it a lot slower and more soulful than Cash's cover of the song. Here's a more OG version sung my Merle himself..

I love "Sixteen Tons"! Dean Carter's is my favorite version. Probably because it sounds like somebody's climaxing in the background...

I like Johnny Cash well enough but his version leaves a lot to be desired...
thanks though, I like listening to the versions back to back.
