How do you know what kind of music it is?
Does anyone know of a site that has samples of ALL the different types of music that are out there?
I'm trying to figure out where some of my songs fit, so I can get it out to the right ears, but I'm having a bit of trouble knowing for sure. ~Dano |

if you're just looking for marketing terms, just make one up, use a word like 'post' or 'proto' as a prefix, maybe even 'meta'. either way, marketing terms are generally pointless and have little to do with the actual type of music you're hearing. |

I pull new genre terms out of my ass all the time, just give us a sample of your music and I'll invent a term for it.

I never undestood genres and always thought I was stupid or something, because everyone else knew the difference between this and that and the other. I still really don't fucking have a clue, it actually sort of pisses me off. Right now I just get an idea of what a term means to me and just put it in my own genras instead of using/learning some complicated BS system someone else came up with. God, fuck genres!
