Predictable, but necessary.

The Unwinding Cable Car by Anberlin.
That was a HUGE one for me.

Beside You by Marianas Trench.
Sleeping Sickness by City and Colour.

A few others...y'know. Music is dope.

I heard them both back-to-back on the radio on the way home from school when I was 13, and they completely changed my idea of what good music is.

Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious

Was the first underground song I had really heard from a hip-hop artist that I liked. I was in a hotboxed car just baked off my ass and my buddy thru it on and man, I got to the G's before I realized he was rapping in the alphabet pattern. Amazing track, I gotta say, really opened my mind and ears to hip-hop.

true, but i don't mind if they're just posting songs as long as they think it changed their lives or someone else's.

"Bright Eyes - Four Winds", this song got me obsessed with non-mainstream music (even though at that time it kinda was mainstream)

One of mine for sure, right around 10 years old my tastes started to really move to R&B and Soul music even my heavier rock tastes tend to lean towards soul or blues roots.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.
