This is my life right now down to a T. These two friends of mine both play guitar and rave about both of those guys, plus like Bonamassa. Stuff like that, at least to me, is just as generic and boring as listening to say, Nickelback (I try not to slam on Nickelback, but they're the best example of a generic formula band I can think of at the moment). I'm sure it's all technically amazing but to me it's just noise, there's no meaning to it.

What's up with the thread title? Was the OP just trying to intentionally be offensive or something?
Anyways, this topic has been discussed thousands of times. Some people are going to explore music, some people are going to listen to boring, drab, accessible music. |

So yesterday, my family was all listening to a piece that Purcell wrote, because I wanted them to hear it.
Then my dad wanted to hear "Ave Maria." Okay. That's fine. Beautiful, actually. Then my sister, the teeny bopper of the WORLD, goes, "YOU KNOW THAT SONG BY BRITNEY SPEARS?!" T.T Then we had to listen to half her fricken album. I just walked away. It was the saddest thing ever... |
