"Änglagård - Hybris" and "Windir - Arntor"
Got round to both of these yesterday, as well as a different can album(Tago Mago) and I have to say this thread has opened up my eyes to some new and interesting music to say the least. Kung Bore from Anglagard really blew me away as well as Saknet from Arntor. Keep the great music coming. I have about 15 of these albums and the only one I didn't take a huge liking to was "Gentle Giant - Octopus" but am gonna give it another spin today. |

Been keeping track of this for a while, hope the quality of music stays consistent through all 1001 albums, good luck with that. Oh, and I listened to the lyrics to First Utterance with it after I felt I soaked-up the music enough- and Ive come to the conclusion that your screen name is seriously fucked-up and First Utterance is twisted.

I haven't been posting any albums recently for a few reasons, the main one being that uploading the next compilation has been incredibly incredibly difficult. My internet kept dying every time I tried to upload something. So finally, I decided to try to use Sharebee instead of megaupload and Opera instead of firefox. Guess what? It worked.
951-942 Compilation 1. Etron Fou Leloublan - La Musique (3:03) 2. Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire (5:50) 3. Il Balletto di Bronzo - Primo Incontro (3:27) 4. Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand (10:25) 5. Panzerpappa - Vintervake (5:35) 6. Hatfield and the North - Fitter Stoke Has a Bath (7:33) 7. Quest For Fire - Bison Eyes (4:05) 8. Änglagård - Kung Bore (12:57) 9. Sleepy Sun - White Dove (9:23) 10. Renaissance - The Vultures Fly High (3:08) Download - Comus' 1001 Albums Compilation 951-942.rar - Sharebee.com, the one and only online file hosting distribution service.

Album 941
Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti Year: 1979 Hokai so it's been awhile, so let's start this up again with a massive bang! Probably one of my favourite albums of all time. Zappa combines incredibly funny lyrics with some epic guitar playing and tight band leading in this live studio album. Filled with overdubs it still sounds incredibly sharp and fresh. He really excells himself as a guitar player on the 12 minute closer Yo' Mama. This is one of the funniest albums of all time, songs like Bobby Brown Goes Down, Dancin' Fool and Jewish Princess are just wickedly naughty and hilarious. 6 Choice Tracks (hey it's a double album): Flakes, Broken Hearts are For assholes, Bobby Brown Goes Down, Dancin' Fool, Jewish Princess, Yo' Mama

I've yet to hear that Zappa album. However, I'm not really a fan of his 70s humor, for the most part. I can take a bit here and there, but don't care for it if it dominates the album. I'll check this one out soon. Of the ones I've heard, my favorites are The Grand Wazoo, One Size Fits All, and Zoot Allures.

Good to see this thread going again.
From the limited amount of Zappa I have (Hot rats album and a few randoms) dancing fool is the best of the lot. Humour to a fine art! Definately gonna pick this one up. |
