Koralrevens Klagesang is a brilliant album and Panzerpappa really deserves more attention. Anyone into RIO/Avant-prog (or who think they might be if they gave it a shot) should check this one out!

Hatfield and the North - The Rotters' Club Year: 1975 Not exactly as rude as their first offering, but still lovably crude. Richard Sinclair makes his third appearance on the list on this jazzy, canterbury prog album. You'll love all the insanely quirky shorter songs, but the true masterpiece here is the 20 minute epic. The amazing jazzy improvisations and serene vocals just make this a joy to listen to. There's not all that much to say about this other than you really really have to get a hold of it. I swear you won't be dissapointed, this is a must have for canterbury fans. This is one to listen to when you want something a bit more jazzy than Caravan. 3 Choice Tracks: Lounging There Trying, Fitter Stoke Has a Bath, Mumps

Quest For Fire - Quest For Fire Year: 2009 A new Canadian psychedelic band from the renmants of Deadly Snake, Cursed and No No Zero. This fuzzy 60's throwback with added guitar and improved production is a brilliant display of the genre's capabilites. The you'll love the riffs, the solos, the vocals, everything just floats by in a big psychedelic mess. This is modern psychedelic garage rock at it best, reccomended for anyone who loves that fuzzy guitar sound. This is one to listen to when you're in the mood for something psychedelic but you're bored of your usual stuff. 3 Choice Tracks: Bison Eyes, I've Been Trying To Leave, Next To The Fire

Änglagård - Hybris Year: 1992 This reminds me a tiny bit of Samla Mammas Manna in the style of arrangments on certain pieces. But that could also be because they're both from that awful country that is Sweden. This lovely pleasant album is perhaps one of the finer examples of how newer prog can be beautiful and challenging. This has a very timeless feel to it, and it has aged very well in comparison to a lot of other early 90's albums. There's always something new to this as well so it just gets better and better with subsequent listens. This is one to listen to when you want to hear something that will always sound fresh. 3 Choice Tracks: Jordrök, Ifrån klarhet till klarhet, Kung Bore

Cheers for Hybris and Rotters Club!
Quest for Fire I don't know, but I'm sure I will in not too long. We should make a proper Canterbury thread one of these days by the way. Hmm ..

Sleepy Sun - Embrace Year: 2009 I'm using the main release date here. This dirty, fuzzy, heavy piece of modern psychedelic rock will be a great addition to pretty much anyone's collection. There's always something going on here and it just adds a lot to the listening experience. Unlike a lot of psychedelic stuff, you never find that the songs all sound the same. Instead this tries very hard to shake it up constantly. And the final song is just a brilliant little duet. This is definitely one to listen to when you want something that sounds fresh but well aged. 3 Choice Tracks: New Age, White Dove, Duet With The Northern Sky

Renaissance - Scheherazade and Other Stories Year: 1975 Renaissance shouldn't need much introduction here. This album will always have a nice special little place in my heart. Formed by professional quitters Keith Relf and Jim McCarty who by this time are long long gone. However for a randomly put together group of musicians, they have managed to make a lot of great albums. This one especially. This is one to listen to when you want something that's almost guaranteed to calm you down and interest you at the same time. 3 Choice Tracks: There's four >:(

While I'm typically a fan of Yardbirds leftovers this assortment never quite tickled my fancy. I find it too bland and reliant on a skill level that wasn't as high as they perceived it to be. I'm sure you've been asked questions like these before but, how old are you and how do you find time to delve into so many relatively obscure artists from three and four decades prior?
