Could I have a bit of this action as well? I read your review for it a while back and was intrigued.

I haven't yet heard Estrangement but I've always liked their earlier material like Blood in Our Wells.

Album 964

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to the Heaven
Year: 2000

Stunningly beautiful, is the most appropriate way to describe this album, absolutely stunning, it's as close to perfect as you can get. Astonishingly good, the main crime here is that they won't reform to make more material. Short description I know, but god it's hard to write about something that absolutely floors you, the best post-rock album ever. Listen to this when you're ready to be blown away.

3 Choice Tracks: There's four, you get the drill.

This was beautiful. A complete work. Thanks for the post. I am not the biggest fan of post-rock but this definately changed my opinion on the genre and the band. Where should i go next after this cd with GSYBE? I have quite a few other post-rock albums but mainly just the usual ones... e.g. takk, agaetis byjun, some mogwai stuff, explosions in the sky

Album 962

Gentle Giant - Octopus
Year: 1972

This album is whimsical, chaotic and controlled at the same time. It feels very tounge in cheek and once again, incredibly british. The album can freak out and rock out, often at the same time, the vocal performance here is just stunning and it's a pleasure to listen to every time around. Chosing three songs has never been so hard, but then again it hasn't been this enjoyable either. This is wonderful stuff, every bit is both progressive, fun and awesome. This is one to listen to when need you something that's always going to be new, fresh and interesting.

3 Choice Tracks: The Advent of Panurge, Raconteur Troubadour, Dog's Life
