"Immerse your soul in love"

Street Spirit (Fade Out) [Single]

^^watch^^

My favorite single from my favorite, band. For me the gold on this single isn’t the A side, its the B side Talk Show Host. Talk Show Host is more progressive than anything they had done before, built around a simple guitar riff added with some trip hop drums and dreamy keyboards Talks Show Host is 4 minutes of sex to your ear. I have no idea what Thom is singing about though, something about a 'gun' and 'a pack of sandwiches' and 'nothing'. But the lyrics aren’t important they’re abstract if anything and open to your own interpretation. Street Spirit itself isn’t as experimental as its b sides, but its still a great song. Revolving around an arpeggio guitar the song is probably the best off the entire Bends album. The music video is a must see, filled with beautiful images of random objects and (people) suddenly going into slow motion while everything around them remains at a normal speed. Another B side Bishop's Robes is similar to Talk Show Host and shows the band experimenting more with keyboards and less guitar work.

WATCH THIS ONE TOO

Talk Show Host

I'll do a full album tonight, I just had this song stuck in my head for awhile. And yes, I couldnt hold back doing something about radiohead, but so what its my thread.

Chester French - Love The Future

I first heard of the quirky pop band Chester French last summer when I saw that they were opening for Matisyahu in San Francisco. I didn’t go to the show, but I have been waiting several months to get my hands on this album and now that I have I can’t wait to share it with you guys! It’s catchy as hell, full of snazzy synth, string orchestrations, a happy 60’s feel to it, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that I love. There’s been a lot of talk that Love the Future didn’t live up to the hype, but I absolutely adore it. Sure, there's some odd tracks in there, disorienting even, but it's unique and good.
I’ll be awaiting your requests for a link.

Favorite Tracks: C’mon (On My Own), Beneath the Veil, She Loves Everybody, Bebe Buell.

Talk show host is the shizz, though I must say I prefer it live over the recorded version. They added that guitar riff that Ed plays, and it's absolutely mesmerizing.
