Atmosphere - Puppets (Track)
When Life Gives You Lemons... has recently been getting A LOT of plays from my car stereo, but today this is the song I woke up humming, so I thought it best to share it with you lovely people. It's exciting when the hard beat finally kicks in, and I love toward the end of the song when the female voice starts harmonizing with Slug. Good song, good album. PM me for a link. |

"Immerse your soul in love" Street Spirit (Fade Out) [Single] ^^watch^^ My favorite single from my favorite, band. For me the gold on this single isn’t the A side, its the B side Talk Show Host. Talk Show Host is more progressive than anything they had done before, built around a simple guitar riff added with some trip hop drums and dreamy keyboards Talks Show Host is 4 minutes of sex to your ear. I have no idea what Thom is singing about though, something about a 'gun' and 'a pack of sandwiches' and 'nothing'. But the lyrics aren’t important they’re abstract if anything and open to your own interpretation. Street Spirit itself isn’t as experimental as its b sides, but its still a great song. Revolving around an arpeggio guitar the song is probably the best off the entire Bends album. The music video is a must see, filled with beautiful images of random objects and (people) suddenly going into slow motion while everything around them remains at a normal speed. Another B side Bishop's Robes is similar to Talk Show Host and shows the band experimenting more with keyboards and less guitar work. WATCH THIS ONE TOO Talk Show Host I'll do a full album tonight, I just had this song stuck in my head for awhile. And yes, I couldnt hold back doing something about radiohead, but so what its my thread.

Chester French - Love The Future I first heard of the quirky pop band Chester French last summer when I saw that they were opening for Matisyahu in San Francisco. I didn’t go to the show, but I have been waiting several months to get my hands on this album and now that I have I can’t wait to share it with you guys! It’s catchy as hell, full of snazzy synth, string orchestrations, a happy 60’s feel to it, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that I love. There’s been a lot of talk that Love the Future didn’t live up to the hype, but I absolutely adore it. Sure, there's some odd tracks in there, disorienting even, but it's unique and good. I’ll be awaiting your requests for a link. Favorite Tracks: C’mon (On My Own), Beneath the Veil, She Loves Everybody, Bebe Buell. |

"Hello this is the offices of Dr. Octagon. If you have insurance or medical problems I'm here for you for any type of intestine surgery rectal rebuilding relocated saliva glands... and chimpanzee acne! And of course moose bumps. You can call 1 800PP51 DooDoo. I'm in your corner." ^^Sniff This^^ Dr. Octagonecologyst Dr. Octagonecologyst is the timeless tale of Dr. Octagon, a surgeon from Jupiter who comes to Earth to treat peole with ailments such as acne and moosebumps, and relocating saliva glands. But sadly he is not as good of doctor as he is rapper because most of his patients die, but what can you expect from a surgeon who claims “ Your insurance is high, but my price is cheap”? The album follows the good doctor around his daily rounds at his hospital were he sometimes engages in sexual acts with his nurses and sometimes patients (Visit To The Gynecologyst). But through and through its probably my favorite tip hop album ever (I love it so much my gamer tag on xbox live is Dr. Octagon). Its worth a listen if you’ve never heard it, which should also be a crime because this album should be heard. With epic records scratches /screams on the outro to Blue Flowers you can only say ‘god damn’. Though rapper Kool Keith (Dr Octagon’s creator) has never made an album quite as good as this but has come close with First Come, First Served an another concept album about a serial killer named Dr. Dooom who actually kills Dr. Octagon at the start of that album. Anyway if you like hip hop or trip hop or cool beats and rhymes this one is defiantly worth your time (see what I did there?). Though he may be gone Dr. Octagon lives on in our memories and headphones, RIP. Fav Tracks: Halfsharkalligatorhalfman Blue Flowers Girl Let Me Touch You Waiting List [DJ Shadow/Automaster Mix] Technical Difficulties smell this one too^^
