Default Stone Temple Pilots or Pearl Jam

Yeah, wondering. I assumed no one else has asked this (or asked it very recently).

I say STP. Scott Weiland is a stupid little heroin man, but he can do no wrong in my eyes, because of his awesome songwriting.

And Pearl Jam's vocals make me die inside.

LOL. Ironic considering when STP first came out a lot of people accused Weiland of ripping of Eddie Vedder's style.

Anyway, Pearl Jam made one good album and STP made zero so I'll have to go with Pearl Jam on this one.

Definitely Pearl Jam. STP are okay, but they'll never be Pearl Jam.

I am voting for Pearl Jam for two reasons.

1 They have repeatedly tried to tour and do shows without the use of ticket master screwing fans out of a decent priced ticket. This carries over now to every type of art entertainment. Of coarse it never worked but the thought has got to count for something right?

2. They have A LOT more solid albums out than STP. They have always been stuck with to many fillers and such on all albums, while the Jam typically produces a solid album through and through.

Pearl Jam, they actually survived grunge and made some solid albums post 1995. :\

^ What he said.

Let me tell you guys something, I know the lot of you hate Pearl Jam, a lot. But I don't know how anyone cannot at least give them some credit, they're the only grunge band (next to The Melvins) that's managed to last this long, the only band to not be forever limited by the "grunge" brand, they took their risks, they have kept their fanbase while keeping a relatively low profile, told ticketmaster to go f*ck themselves. Surely that's more admirable than Scott Weiland, other than aping other grunge singers for so long, his greatest claim to fame is simply being the guy most people first think of when "flamboyant herion junkie rock star" comes to mind. Be sure to catch the guy on VH1's Celebrity Rehab sometime in the future.

I think I may have been gone from the music forum a little too long.
