Default Leonard Cohen's Tour

Anyone else gone or going? Went last night at the Paramount, played with a full band on all but 2 or 3 songs, was pretty mediocre to be honest. Still as great experience though. I was really disappointed at just how awful his renditions of Bird On A Wire and Hallelujah were. He read a beautiful version of A Thousand Kisses Deep, I'll post it later. He played for 3 and a half hours, so I really got my parent's money's worth.
Highlights:
The Future
Closing Time
Chelsea Hotel #2
The Gypsy's Wife
The Partisan (Best of the night, besides the poem he read)
Suzanne
So Long, Marianne
Famous Blue Rain Coat
A Thousand Kisses Deep (In poem form, with tweeked lyrics that I'll post)
Boogie Street
Dance Me To The End Of Love

Umm, 100 something, less than 150.

Yeah, I heard they were really expensive. As much as I like Leonard Cohen I really can't see spending that much on a show.

It was 3 and a half hours, no opening act or anything, and at the Paramount.

Still can't afford that much for a show. It doesn't matter how long it is. And in the case of Leonard Cohen I have actually already seen him in concert before so it would be even harder for me to justify spending that kind of money on a concert.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed yourself though, he was great when I saw him too.

It was a great experience, and he's certainly charming, but the performance was meh. Half the songs sounded the same because of the backing band. There was a ****ing drum solo.

That's too bad. He was absolutely incredible when I saw him and the backing band was great.

Oh, the band was great, I just didn't put 100 out to see it.
