How to get good concert tickets
 

can anyone tell me what is the best way to get concert tickets? I am a big rock and alternative rock fan, I can never find good seats once the tickets go onsale and then I find that prices have gone up astronomically. any suggestions or inputs on this?

Quit going to mainstream shows.

As far as I can tell, it's pretty much a matter of being quick on the draw and/or lucky as hell.

Or to just have a ton of money for scalpers.

ticket master is definitely not an option and secondary seller tend to be more expensive. I heard, though, that newer sites offer relatively better deals. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions?

Buy your tickets at the venue's box office the day they go on sale.

Another suggestion: stop going to shows with seats.

And if the shows halfway decent you shouldn't need them anyways.

ticket master overprices and is being sued for a couple of million for corrupt practices.

Postslutting just to get up to 15 posts is against the rules here.

so how do you get your tickets to these at least "halfway" decent shows?
