As stated earlier in thread always go to the actual venue and buy them. Even if they are the same price its better not to support ticketmaster.

ps: Remember when pearl jam tried doing a tour without them and ended up being broke?

Pearl Jam still doesn't use ticketmaster. Which I really support.

crying is fine, especially if it gets you out of speeding tickets .

I was more referring to ticketmaster, they really do have sleazy practices

yeah, to some concert at the cats cradle that I could have gotten for like 14 dollars from the cats cradle site they were selling for like $120, it was infuriating to me.

prices will certainly be cheaper at the venues, but will you be able to find good seats or spots when you buy directly from a venue? I think the concert organizers and venues (and even artists themselves) direct their best (so-called "premium") seats to sites like ticketmaster so that they make extra.

I actually read this on many news sources. Here is one. No wonder you can't find good seats at venues or ticketmaster.

"Concert Tickets Get Set Aside, Marked Up by Artists, Managers"

Default best seats are online

interesting article, concertfan. I always suspected that the best seats were directed to and sold on online sites, and now I see why: thanks to the artists and their managers themselves.

I tried a number of sellers online and as far as I can see, there isn't much difference in terms of prices or the seat selection. So if there is a site that offers extra discounts, let me know. I'd be interested to check it out.
