it was a joke,...as in i cry to get better seats,....like when i cry to get out of speeding tickets,.... i recently bought clapton/winwood tickets,.....got pretty good seats,.....bought them as soon as they went on sale through the venue,....just sayin |
crying is fine, especially if it gets you out of speeding tickets :).
I was more referring to ticketmaster, they really do have sleazy practices |
not to mention shit prices.
i was gonna go see john mclaughlin at some grimy club in town until i noticed that they jacked ticket prices up to over $50. lame. |
yeah, to some concert at the cats cradle that I could have gotten for like 14 dollars from the cats cradle site they were selling for like $120, it was infuriating to me.
|
prices will certainly be cheaper at the venues, but will you be able to find good seats or spots when you buy directly from a venue? I think the concert organizers and venues (and even artists themselves) direct their best (so-called "premium") seats to sites like ticketmaster so that they make extra.
|
no, thats not true,

I actually read this on many news sources. Here is one. No wonder you can't find good seats at venues or ticketmaster.
"Concert Tickets Get Set Aside, Marked Up by Artists, Managers" online.wsj.com/article/SB123672740386088613.html |
best seats are online
interesting article, concertfan. I always suspected that the best seats were directed to and sold on online sites, and now I see why: thanks to the artists and their managers themselves.
I tried a number of sellers online and as far as I can see, there isn't much difference in terms of prices or the seat selection. So if there is a site that offers extra discounts, let me know. I'd be interested to check it out. |
