Most Played Album YOU Listen To?

Mine would probably be City Of Evil- A7X

NSW 03-30-2009 12:20 PM

Right now the albums getting the most play from me are Jeff Buckley's "Grace" and "Sketches...". I'm obsessing a little right now.

More appropriate forum. My most played album is this probably:
http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/...nnad-banba.jpg

It's not one of my favourites but it's my usual choice for reading so it usually is played at least 2-3 times a week.

333 03-30-2009 02:29 PM

I haven't been able to get this out of my head or CD player for awhile:

http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~jhanniga/lateralus.jpg

Predictable, maybe. Still an epic album.

Then there's Station by Russian Circles:

Also,

All albums I've mentioned before.

Bulldog 03-30-2009 02:37 PM

Dunno about ever, but this album's had the most airtime over the last few days;

Alfred 03-30-2009 02:50 PM

Probably these three:

Gotta love hard music.

LoathsomePete 03-30-2009 03:30 PM

I've been on a bit of a Devin Townsend tangent lately, I've been spinning these three albums almost daily

In Rainbows is my most listened to with a mind boggling 640 or so plays. Recently though, Third has been getting a staggering number of plays.

Dieselboy 03-30-2009 08:59 PM

The album I've listened to most of the years would be Wiseblood by Corrosion of Conformity I'm pretty sure.

Following that would probably be:

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
and
Cirrus - Counterfeit

A Love Supreme by Coltrane is catching up pretty fast, but I've only owned that for a little over a year so its got a-ways to go to reach the others.

pourmeanother 03-30-2009 09:04 PM

The Black Keys 'Chulahoma'

This CD destroys everything I have lately. I've had it for only 3 weeks, and it already has been played more than any other album of the past 3 years. I've essentially listened to it twice a day, every day, for just shy of a month.

Zarko 03-30-2009 11:11 PM

My all time most listened to album would be
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7yCWjcpGcn...+tobin+sdt.jpg

Due to it being the only album I had my hands on when my computer went belly uup a while back... Just whored this album like crazy.

ATM it would be Nikusei by Kazuki Tomokawa.

Husky McDump 03-30-2009 11:15 PM

Amazing choices =]

Husky McDump 03-30-2009 11:17 PM

The Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound

Freebase Dali 03-31-2009 01:05 AM

Still getting the most play from me for many years now: Deftones - Adrenaline.

The follow-up would be TOOL - Lateralus, which overcame Aenima after a period of time, giving no love to 10,000 days except for the song "right in two".

Other than that, I mix it up.

Guybrush 03-31-2009 02:57 AM

These days it's still this one for me :

http://cdn.7static.com/static/img/sl...009684_350.jpg

Close to the Edge, fifth album from 1972 by english prog group Yes. It is an amazing album. :)

CaseNumber:825 03-31-2009 05:25 AM

This is all according to Last.fm
I couldn't possibly answer this question based on my own opinion.

Apparently my top played album on Last.fm is:

http://www.poponaut.de/images/_emau_4260063942921.jpg

And yes..... I can agree with that........ it is a fantastic album ^_^

In more recent months my top-played album is probably this one:

My uncle had that in a big stack of records he gave me. It's funny, after listening to it I realized how much of an impact Captain Beefheart must have had on Mark E. Smith.

http://static.boomkat.com/images/73146/333.jpg

Although I like Microcastle better, this album I listen to more, probably my most played album of the last 6 months.

jackhammer 03-31-2009 01:26 PM

Sounds like perfect driving music to me.

I just started listening to Joy Division recently (sad, isn't it?) so the last couple of days I've been listening to them almost non-stop.

It's not my single favorite album, but has by far the most plays on last fm.
It's the best to come home from a mentally stressful day and punch air listening to this album.

Schizotypic 03-31-2009 10:26 PM

I write poetry to The Album Leaf's In A Safe Place, so it ended-up being the most played.

Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
Ive been listening to this album alot. When I'm in class, on my way to school, or playing video games it can usually be heard.

http://991.com/NewGallery/Radiohead-...ows-421972.jpg
Radiohead- In Rainbows
Probably my most listened to Radiohead album lately, either this or OK Computer but it depends on my mood I guess, if i'm feeling stressed I'll put OK Computer on, if i'm feeling happy or relaxed I'll put In Rainbows on, 15 Step is the ****.

http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/t/t...-of-hollow.jpg
The Smiths- Hatful of Hollow
This is without a doubt my most listened to album ever, and I still come back for more. You know you have a good album when youve memorized every guitar part, drum beat, lyric, and track listing and you stil come back for more.

Dr_Rez 03-31-2009 11:59 PM

YOu forgot to mention every other Radiohead album. :) Come on you its true.

sweet_nothing 04-01-2009 12:00 AM

haha sometimes you guys make me feel guilty for talking about Radiohead on here, I know I talk about them alot, but they are my favorite band.

If they'd put out instrumental versions of their albums they'd be mine too.

They have some instrumental songs, which are pretty good. But if they did an instrumental version of In Rainbows I'd be a happy boy.

Dr_Rez 04-01-2009 12:26 AM

Then you NEED to check out these 2...

The Soft Bulletin

Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
