when does the official voting start?

I said a week, but maybe that's a bit much. I'd like to start the real voting before the **** reviewers like You're Beautiful get nominations simply because all the good ones are already on the list.

Fruitonica, you already spent your nomination on Cardboard .. sorry! I would also like to see JH in, but cardboard's nomination came from you, not Piss Me Off. In other words, Piss Me Off is the one with a nomination to spare .. So I'll give him a message. I hate feeling like a partypooper. :(

You could make it a condition that all voters in the poll are expected to read at least one review by the nominee.
Maybe even have the nominees choose two or three of their favourite reviews for examples.

I already thought about something like that actually and I plan on making a list of suggested reading from each nominee and as you suggested, each nominee will choose what should represent them in that list. One thing I haven't been able to decide is wether the poll should be aonymous or public. I might lean towards public, I guess.
