Unhappy Dosen't seem to be a very wide selection of quality trip-hop out there.

I have been listening to Massive Attack all day but to be honest the only songs I really like are "Angel", "Dissolved Girl", "Teardrop (kinda)", and "Butterfly Caught". Those are really the only songs I can find that have a good hip-hop beat, dark/cynical overtone, and a gloomy but smooth flow. The rest of the songs out there are all ruined with some terrible singer or the song itself it just garbage. And that goes for all the trip-hop bands. I wish there was at least one true trip-hop band out there that defines the style and doesn't sound completely corky with some out-of-key female singer and a lazy compilation of unfitting sounds.

if you don't like the genre, then the simplest solution is to stop listening to it.

i rather like massive attack. i have all their albums, singles, and many bootlegs. not sure what you are getting at when whining about terrible singers, i think all the vocalists they work with are excellent.

as for your insistence that trip-hop be dark and cynical, that's a silly generalization. trip-hop is very loosely-defined, and like all musical genres, it's extremely encompassing. the majority of the trip-hop that i listen to is rather upbeat. you want "true trip-hop" - what exactly does that mean?

i also find it very hard to believe you have actually listened to "all the trip-hop bands" that exist. i know i sure haven't...

The comment that the female singer is out of key is so ridiculous that I think that this may be a troll.
