I missed Akron/Family at a tiny venue last week because everyone wanted to go to a club instead. It was good night but still, Akron/Family

And before you say it, i dont like going to shows on my own.

As far as I know every single one of those bands is still touring. I think the point of this thread is to mention bands you could have seen at one point, and now it's too late. Too bad. They're broken up or dead and you missed your chance.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

In my case though, even if bands are still touring it is still likely that I will miss them because they won't come to Australia. I've missed out on bands, and then thought 'Oh, they're still active and touring, they'll come back and I'll see them" but then even after being active for several more years they don't return to Australia or New Zealand to tour before they quit. Some bands don't even bother to come here in the first place! - a lot of the time it's just a one off thing.

In which case, I am very disappointed that I missed Tool a few years ago. I was in school and young and had no money. They've still got plans for the future, so hopefully they may come back... fingers crossed.

Tori Amos came over here this year and I missed out, due to being sick, and Porcupine Tree are scheduled to be here next year but I missed out on tickets as they sold out in a couple of days Nirvana are a band I would have loved to see live, too.

Oh, and I THOUGHT I had missed out on Faith No More but I'm seeing them at a festival in February! Yay!

Well, you get a pass then, if you live somewhere that bands don't tour often.

Had to leave the city only a couple days before Death From Above 1979 were playing.

Not too rub it in... but i saw DFA'79 at a club called trash just before they released YAWIAM, it was amazing. When they went into Romantic Rights the place literally decended into chaos. They'll reform eventually.

Sounds like a great time. The show I missed was shortly after YAWIAM came out. I can only hope they re-unite but even then I'm sure I'd wish I could have seen them during the original run.

The only other show I missed out on that I really regret was seeing Wintersleep with The Wooden Stars. Just no way of making it to the city an hour and a half away when I was too young to drive.

I wanted to see Leftover Crack so bad. The only other one I could think of is Pepper but that wasn't a big deal.
