I was expecting something proggy, and something proggy is exactly what I got. With the exception of a bit of 10cc and Yes it's a genre I know absolutely nothing about. It is a genre I at least appreciate though, so it's always good to hear some, especially the more modern stuff such as this slice of Italian prog. I was reading some Poe while listening to this, so the mazy, neo-classical song structures seemed to fit somehow. Goes without saying that the musicianship behind it is incredible too. That said though, I wouldn't call it a truly brilliant album but, then again, I can see this one growing on me with a few more listens.
