Gunnels sent me Crime In Choir's The Hoop. It was a pretty good post-rock/math rock album with some very interesting instrument work. Pretty good music overall, but not something I'd listen to for a casual spin. 7/10.

I would like to do this as well if I'm worthy.

The End of the Beginning - God is an Astronaut from mojopinuk

I've been meaning to get into more post-rock lately so this was a good start. When I first listened to the album, it kind of slipped into background music becuase I was doing some other things but when I gave it a proper listen it was much more pleasing. I especially liked the piano which is involved in most tracks. There were also some really nice percussive tracks on it. The major problem I had with the album was that the songs became repetive because of their minimalistic style. If the album was a few tracks shorter I wouldn't have noticed this as much. Overall, this was a good album but I don't think I'll seek out much more of this music. Thanks mojopinuk for introducing me to some more post-rock.

I've listened to a couple of God is an Astronaut albums and tbh they were just very bland to me.

I wouldn't call them bland. They have some good things going on, it just gets a little repetive.

Warren G - Regulate...G-Funk Era

I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to, G-Funk has never really been an area of hip hop I enjoyed that much, but the production is so irresistibly chilled, makes Long Beach sound like the most appealing place on Earth. So smooth and syrupy, and Warren's delivery is perfectly suited to the music.
Lyrically it's obviously not great, this is music you throw on at a party, not analyse. But I will say that Warren G and his buddies are much stronger than their modern counterparts like The Game.
In the end it's a smooth, fun record that is moves by fast enough that it can't outstay its welcome.

^^^

I only like the first 2 tracks on that album. The rest sort of passes me by.
