to you, it may be. but imo, i thought it was great.

look, you guys could try to convince me that album A is better or worse than album B all you want, but the thing is that's mostly opinion. sure you can say that you're basing it on lyrics, musicianship or whatever, but in the end it's about what you enjoyed listening to better and what really clicked with you.

so yeah, i've heard both and in my opinion i liked The Wall better, and a bunch of people telling me i'm wrong isn't going to change it.

I'm not really trying to convince you of anything but so far you haven't really given any reasons of what you like so much about The Wall. I myself find it boring but what do you like about it?

well, i really enjoyed the story, it's central theme combined with the metaphoric imagery in some songs, like Mother and The Trial. it also comes down to me just enjoying the music more, from Goodbye Blue Sky to Comfortably Numb, it just really clicked with me and was something i could really connect with myself.

plus watching the film really cemented it for me, it gave me something to connect the story with. i still liked the album as much before watching it, mind you, but the movie really helped me in understanding some of the parts on the album and really get the story as a whole.

sure, i understand how people can see the whole thing as overblown and hate it as opposed to their previous work, but for me this was an album that just clicked with me, i can't really explain it further than that

The Good: Much appreciated diversity on the instrumental side of things coupled with a refreshing lack of purely conventional song structure. Production isn't too bad either.

The Bad: Usual Indie singer-songwriter drivel lyrically & vocally, which is kind of a shame considering how eclectic everything else is. I don't have a problem with such in small doses, but over the course of an album it makes you want to snap your nearest Garden State and Juno DVDs into little pieces, followed by a trip to the incinerator.

So, equally good and equally obnoxious = 5/10
You should listen to his Daytrotter Session, it's actually really good.
"Nirvana By Kurt Cobain" [MP3] has an akward name, but the song is really good Lyrically, Vocally, and Musically, although this song doesn't give you the musical diversity like a lot of others of his do, but it still has a nice riff

Yeah, I'll do my best to get your album reviewed tonight as well. I would've done earlier - just been a bit busier than usual these last few days. I will definitely get it done very soon though, and that's a promise.

As for the rest of us who still haven't done reviews yet, let's try and get them done by Wednesday at the latest eh Start thinking if you wanna be in the next draw over the next few days too.

Some technical issues on my end with the downloading, but I'll hope to get in a review soon enough.

Probably will be little late though

Fear not fellow MBers! We still have a couple of days to get these reviews done.

Maybe we should make this a fortnightly thing from the next round onwards instead, give people a bit more space like that?
