Well, here's what I got from PMO;
This is quite an album to say the least. Over the last week I've been digging a bit deeper into Tom Waits' discography, and I've been supplied with another brilliant album here. Not as instantly accessible as Mule Variations or Rain Dogs, but having given it a couple of spins already I already love it, and can see it growing on me even more. I think the best way to describe a lot of it (based on early listens) would be as a mutant crossbreed of blues and jazz, with heavy emphasis on bizarre rhythms and oddball lyrics. It's early days, but the highlights so far are probably Sixteen Shells From a Thirty-Ought Six, the harrowing Frank's Wild Years and the gorgeous instrumental Rainbirds. Anyway, great album, and one I'll enjoy immensely. Ta PMO |

I got an interesting group from Surell, a hip hop group called Futuro Boots. They absolutely worship the Beastie Boys which is alright cause well.... the Beastie Boys are pretty awesome. Thanks a lot man it was a fun album that I will definitely pass on to a select few people who will understand the joke.

Midnight Oil - 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 This didn't really catch me at all to be honest, it's a classic case that an album has all the makings of something i would enjoy but at the end of the day there aren't any killer tunes that really catch my attention so it sort of blends. I get the feeling that it might be a grower so i'll probs give it another listen but at the mo i'm quite indifferent. |

Thats exactly where I'm at with that album too. I grabbed it off Bulldog a week or so back. I listened to it once and immediately didn't like the vocals but I was kind of getting into it in places. I dunno, it just didnt really get me but I also did think of it as a grower so I'll be re-listening to it too.

Sonic Prayer by Earthless Sent to me by mojopinuk. Surprisingly I had not heard this instrumental psychedelic band, but was very impressed by the 2 twenty minute tracks. Im hoping the rest of there material is close to this, as the style is my favorite when it comes to psychedelia. Thanks MP
