That is a pretty bad list.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:23 PM

Hey What Did I Say, I Expected Critisism !!
Wheres Yours Then XD

Pornographie Nouveau 03-03-2009 12:26 PM

I can't really make that judgement until I've heard every song ever recorded :/ And even then, I wouldn't be able to choose.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:27 PM

Well why not choose out of the ones you haveheard?

FaSho 03-03-2009 12:28 PM

Ooh geting technical up in this bitch.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:28 PM

I dunno, I have like 600 albums, it's pretty hard to choose.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:29 PM

Ok, it is that difficult....:P

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:29 PM

How can you have so many albums?! Who you got? Like who are your faves?

Pornographie Nouveau 03-03-2009 12:32 PM

Uh, it's not that many. Quite a lot of people here have 3000+ albums, I'm pretty sure.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:32 PM

Um wow, i have like 14 XD!!

FaSho 03-03-2009 12:32 PM

Yes but you own Sonic Youth albums. Bleh. That must be tough.

Kidding of course.

MindlessMusePanic 03-03-2009 12:34 PM

Hey FaSho, What Are Your Fave Songs/Albums If thats any easier?

The Monkey 03-03-2009 12:55 PM

Quite a poor list. Maybe you should explore music besides what is currently playing on the radio?

only_dancing 03-03-2009 01:12 PM

Art of Parties - Japan
Venus In Furs - The Velvet Underground
Re-make/Re-model - Roxy Music

Too bad. It's my list, not yours. : )

CaseNumber:825 03-03-2009 03:30 PM

Can't we just choose our top 10 right now?

If so then that makes things so much easier......

So here's my top ten of right now:

1) It's all Love - Koda Kumi x misono
2) Planetarium - Ai Otsuka
3) D.D.D feat. SOULHEAD - Koda Kumi (And I suppose this can also count as XXX feat. Koda Kumi - SOULHEAD)
4) Tongue Tied - Danny John-Jules
5) Misekake no I love you - Aya Kamiki
6) Rule - Ayumi Hamasaki
7) Wan Mei - Jolin Tsai
8) I'm no - SNoW
9) Shen Cai Fei Yang - A-mei
10) Flavor of Life - Utada Hikaru

That was actually more difficult than expected.... there are so many more songs I wanna add.....

One of the worst songs in their discography. Still great, but not worthy of a place on your list.

10 songs I'm digging now:

Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding - Elton John
Showbiz - Muse
I Will - Radiohead
Tom Waits - The Fall of Troy
Televators - The Mars Volta
Major & Minor - The Procession
Hide and Seek - Imogen Heap
Jacqueline - Franz Ferdinand
Rock Rebellion - Bang Camaro
Invalid Litter Dept. - At the Drive-In

The Unfan 03-03-2009 05:05 PM

Gets me every time. I'm typically not much of a southern folk kind of guy, but God damn. I went with this particular recording because I think Darin's voice is better than Hardin's.

This one is obvious. A skeptic anthem before skeptics were outspoken. If I were a lady this song would make me wet.

Farfisa 03-03-2009 05:29 PM

This song is pure genius.

lucifer_sam 03-03-2009 05:30 PM

Songs I currently can't live without:

Captain Beefheart - Sure 'Nuff 'N Yes I Do
Art Ensemble of Chicago - Theme de Yoyo
Pixies - Monkey Gone to Heaven
Blur - This Is a Low

Whitechapelfan200 03-03-2009 05:48 PM

Here are my favorite songs

1.)Whitechapel-Possession

2.)Escape the fate-Not good enough for truth in cliche

3.)Job for a cowboy-Entombment of a machine

4.)Born of osiris-Open arms to damnation

5.)Born of osiris-Rosecrance

6.)Silverstein-Smashed to pieces

7.)Brokencyde-Bree Bree

someonecompletelyrandom 03-03-2009 05:51 PM

my list is short:

Nirvana - Every single song.

I've seriously never come across a Nirvana song (or cover) that I didn't like. With the possible exceptions of the original "Fecal Matter" Spank Thru demo and Moist Vagina.

Anybody else with me? .. anybody?

Disclamer:

I have musical taste beyond Nirvana, just so you know. I listen to alot more than just them or that style... I just don't want anyone to think I'm musically narrow-minded or anything.

Some random ones I really enjoy

The Yardbirds - Mr. Saboteur
Joy Division - Twenty Four Hours
Syd Barrett - Here I Go
The Pop Group - Words Disobey Me
Blur - Strange News From Another Star
Nick Cave - Watching Alice
Beatles - Won't Be Long
Dead Kennedys - Kill The Poor
Talking Heads - What A Day That Was
Telescopes - Violence

I don't pick songs individually though. I listen to an album(s) of the same band 3/4 times and just get immersed the sound.

I was actually gonna put both of those on there, Electricity is feckin sweet. I love Beefheart's growl on it. Halleluwah is great too, probably my second favorite track off Tago Mago.

Anteater 03-03-2009 08:29 PM

None of these are in any particular order, and its always changing, but for the moment...

Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand
Caravan - Nine Feet Underground
GY!BE - East Hastings
Lucifer's Friend - Spanish Galleon
Moon Safari - Yasgur's Farm
Yes - Close to the Edge
Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - A Hymn To The Morning Star
Radiohead - There There
King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open

I could spend ten years locked in a cell with only those two songs on CD for company - I just never get bored of them. It's all about the tribal rhythms in Halleluwah and that psychotic kind of blues sound Beefheart captures with Electricity. Love 'em to bits.

7gaugejames 03-05-2009 08:53 AM
